What Score Do You Need?
Skilled Independent Visa 189 — 79 in each skill.
Skilled Nominated Visa 190 — 79 in each skill.
Temporary Skill Shortage Visa 482 — 79 in each skill.
Student Visa 500 — 50 to 65 overall depending on institution.
Important — The 79 Score Applies Per Skill
The 79 score requirement applies to each communicative skill individually — not as an overall average. You must score 79 or above in Speaking, Writing, Reading, AND Listening. A score of 90 in three skills but 70 in one means your application does not meet the requirement.
How We Get You there in 2 Weeks
Day 1: Diagnostic mock test to identify exactly where you are losing points. Days 1 to 3: AI scoring logic — how Pearson scores each task type. Days 3 to 10: Task-type mastery across all 20 PTE task types with templates and timed practice. Days 10 to 14: Full mock tests under exam conditions with score feedback. Day 14: Final readiness — we only recommend you book your exam when you are consistently hitting 79 across all four skills.
